And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.”

“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”…

“Spring drew on . . . and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.”Charlotte Bronte

  1. Beautiful images and quotes. At this time of year I wish I could move to Australia – we’ve got an El Nino winter looming ahead of us here in Wales!
Your birthday is on the same day as my brother’s – ten days after mine.

    1. 😀 Thankyou! Maybe you could come for a holiday 🙂 What is El Nino? I haven’t heard that before? Oh that’s cool! Well happy birthday to him for then and to you of course

      1. El Nino is a weather system that results in extreme weather. ‘El Nino’ is Spanish for ‘the child’, though there’s nothing childlike about it – unless it’s a child throwing a tantrum! Last time we had an El Nino winter there were terrible gales and floods here in the UK, so I’m not looking forward to it!
